My makeup journey began at 17 (yes, I was that teen experimenting with makeup), and since then, I’ve earned my aesthetics license and mastered the art of microblading for brows that are perfectly on-point.
When I’m not creating beauty for my clients, I’m busy being the proud mama of two beautiful angels—my son Yara and my daughter Diba, who I adore more than words can say.

What is Microblading?
Microblading is a semi-permanent eyebrow enhancement technique that involves manually applying pigment to the skin using fine, hair-like strokes. Using specialized, sterile tools, a skilled technician deposits the pigment into the skin’s surface layer, creating the appearance of fuller, more defined eyebrows. This procedure is often referred to by other names such as Eyebrow Embroidery, Feather Stroke Brows, or 3D Brows, but the goal remains the same: to achieve natural-looking, perfectly shaped brows that last.
How many treatments are required?
Microblading involves a multi-step process, and your brows will not be fully completed after just one session. Typically, at least two appointments are needed initially, with the second session scheduled 6-12 weeks after the first. Keep in mind that everyone’s healing process is different, so if your cosmetic tattoo doesn’t heal perfectly the first time, there’s no need to worry! I can always enhance the shape and density during your follow-up appointment.
Is Microblading Considered Tattooing?
Microblading is a form of cosmetic tattooing, despite common misconceptions. Terms like micropigmentation, semi-permanent makeup, and eyebrow embroidery also describe this procedure, as it involves placing pigment into the skin. Recognizing it as tattooing is essential, particularly for individuals with religious or personal objections, to ensure informed decision-making.
Does microblading hurt?
Pain tolerance varies from person to person, so discomfort during the procedure can be subjective. A numbing anesthetic is applied before and throughout the treatment to minimize any discomfort, and every effort is made to keep you comfortable during the process. Most clients find the procedure to be no more painful than tweezing or threading.
What should I do before my procedure?
- Avoid shaping, waxing, threading, or tinting your eyebrows for at least one week prior. Stray hairs will be managed during the procedure.
- Schedule vacations at least 30 days post-procedure to allow for proper healing.
- Refrain from taking blood-thinning medications (e.g., Vitamin E, aspirin, ibuprofen) for 48 hours before.
- Avoid alcohol and caffeine, including decaf coffee, for 48 hours prior.
- No Botox for 4 weeks before and after microblading; wait until touch-up healing is complete for new Botox.
- Accutane users must wait one year, and doxycycline users should wait up to 6 months before microblading.
- Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for 30 days before and after the procedure. Fresh tans or sunburns will result in rescheduling and deposit loss.
- Adhering to these guidelines ensures optimal results for your microblading treatment.
How long is the healing process?
After your procedure, mild swelling and tenderness may occur but will subside within a few hours. The pigment will appear darker during the first week and gradually fade as the skin exfoliates in the second week. By weeks 4 to 8, the pigment will settle into its final color. A follow-up Enhancement Session around 6 weeks is recommended to perfect the color, symmetry, and shape.
